Member of Coast Care Group.10/090/CCG/DLM
Maintaining amenity value of various coastal venues and beaches, including clean-ups, planting, social functions, administration, etc. We are trying to expand our volunteer input in forming new groups throughout the five counties to undertake the community involvement in the Clean Coast Project. We are looking for volunteers to either join existing groups or be willing to form a new group. The groups are completely self-governing: our Project Officers mainly facilitate various activities undertaken by the groups whenever required. Coastcare groups are encouraged to become involved in beach management in conjunction with relevant local authorities. Beaches 'adopted' by Coastcare groups could win Green Coast Awards because of their successful involvement.
