Volunteer Manangers' Seminar Volunteers: Victims or Victors - Thursday, 18th September 2008 - Karl Monsen-Elvik
This one day seminar event is part of the Volunteer Managers’ Seminar Series that Volunteering Ireland provides in association with the Professional Association of Volunteer Managers Ireland (PAVMI). The seminar series aims not only to provide volunteer managers with an opportunity to meet internationally ackowledges speakers, but also to share experiences and best practices on volunteer management.
This seminar will look at the way both volunteer managers and volunteers approach challenges by examining two mentalities which commonly occur, that of a victim, or conversely, that of a victor. The day will aim to give concrete strategies to promoting a victorious approach as well as fostering a sense of responsibility towards problem solving.

Previously Karl was the Development Manager at the Volunteer Centre North Lanarkshire and Vice-Chair of Volunteer Development Scotland.
