Summer Workshop Information
The Dublin City North Volunteer Centre recently ran a series of Summer Workshops.
These workshops targeted local volunteer involving organisations and covered a wide range of topics, from building a volunteer policy to engaging interns.
The overall aim of these information workshops was to provide a platform where volunteer involving organisations from across the Dublin City North area could:
• meet and exchange information
• hear about other Volunteer programme experiences
• discuss a wide range of topics
• get to know the team in the Dublin City North Volunteer Centre
• find out more about what the local volunteer centre can do for organisations
• ask about support in solving problems
The workshops had many benefits for attendees:
• This series of workshops was an excellent knowledge resource for local organisations, a great opportunity for networking and also helped to enhance local groups’ knowledge of what other supports and services are available from their local volunteer centre.
• We covered a wide range of topics, exploring best practice information and with the opportunity to get assistance in any questions individuals might have regarding the involvement of volunteers in the work of their organisation.
• There was the opportunity to hear about what other organisations in the sector are doing in their volunteer programmes.
