We Need Volunteers

Dublin City North Volunteer Centre
Request for volunteers

Una Daly, VI Outreach Placement Officer
While the services of Volunteering Ireland are nationwide, the Volunteer Centre only deals directly with non-residential voluntary opportunities within the Dublin City North and Centre area .

If you wish to register your volunteer vacancy with us we shall do our best to provide you with an efficient, high quality and Free matching service.

We cannot guarantee to fill your vacancy, particularly if you require people very urgently or in large numbers. It is therefore important that you continue to use other avenues of recruitment and that you view our services as simply one more way in which volunteers can find out about you.

When we have received your completed form and have established that:
  • there is equality of opportunity for all volunteers
  • tasks undertaken complement and do not substitute for the work of paid staff
  • organisational structures are in place for proper support
  • you are a not-for-profit organisation

we will be able to add your volunteering vacancy to our database.

Potential volunteers who contact us select one or more volunteering opportunities they wish to pursue. We provide as much advice and support to the volunteer as necessary to enable her/him to make a suitable choice.

The decision for a volunteer to become involved in your organisation stays entirely with you and them. We do not select volunteers for you, nor do we check references . Our role is to facilitate the match and give whatever assistance is necessary to make an introduction.

Please contact us at anytime if you wish to discuss any volunteering matters or if you would like to avail yourself of any of our services. We look forward to working with you.

Volunteering Ireland equal opportunities policy
We recognise that in our society certain individuals and groups of people are unfairly discriminated against, both directly and indirectly. They are denied equality of opportunity on the grounds of age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, caring responsibilities, mental or physical health/disability, race, colour, nationality, ethnic/national origin (including membership of the travelling community), political or religious beliefs, economic status, criminal record, trade union activity, or a combination of any of these. We strive to eliminate all such forms of discrimination and to create a climate in which equal opportunities are promoted as a means of developing the full potential of everyone who is involved with our organisation. We do this by fulfilling our legal obligations and by taking positive action which goes beyond the requirements of the law, but by avoiding stereotyping and tokenism.

Please read our policy carefully and acknowledge that you are happy to work within its boundaries.

Do let us know if you have any questions or comments, as we are always refining the way in which we work.
Please use the application form below after reading the following equal opportunities statement
